Please help with this Flight Simulator X problem?
Okay, my computer has 8GB of ram, an AMD HD 6870, and an AMD FX-6100. I have Flight Simulator X installed since my computer is mid range to today’s standards and extreme to the standards when FSX came out, I set everything to Ultra and set the FPS cap to 75. So I start the game and get 7 FPS what is the problem? One more thing I have Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Thanks so much for any help I really enjoy FSX but 7 FPS is not playable.

The cause of your problem? Your CPU; AMD cut corners for that one & it simply isn’t up to the task: as opposed to what you assume ("extreme to the standards when FSX came out") FSX is still a very demanding program CPU wise (a GPU starting from a NVidia GTX-280 can usually deliver good frame rates, provided that the CPU feeds it with enough instructions…) you may still be able to run FSX, simply not with the highest settings (see 2nd link) here is a "test" of the FX-6100 http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/pc-components/processors/amd-fx-6100-black-edition-1044580/review?artc_pg=2 here is a web page about installing / tuning FSX http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html

How can i transfer programs and games from one pc to another?
I have an old Vista PC and im hoping to get a new Windows7 PC but my only hold back is losing my software/Programs and games. Iv sussed how im going to transfer my files etc. I have multiple programs such as Adobe After Effects, Sony Vegas pro, Microsoft office home and student, iTunes and games like Microsoft flight simulator 2002 and X, Left 4 dead 2, Battlefield p4f etc… How can i transfer them without installing the again? (Some programs are not registered) Please help, Thanks I have heard of software such as ‘Zinstall’ but i am hoping to do this free

Theres one Free option but requires reinstalling the games. And can take some time to do so it depends on you. As an example.. I Play Skyrim at the moment and backed up my save game. My Save game was located: Document’s, My Games, Skyrim. Saved games can be located in locations such as… (Skyrim is an example) Start menu, Computer, C Drive, Users, YourUsername, Application Data, Skyrim. Start menu, Computer, C Drive, Program files, Skyrim. (NOTE: This is also where the game installs itself too) Each game chooses where to put their saved games, so Google may be useful. If i reinstall my computer, install skyrim and copy the save game back.. When i load my Skyrim game my saved game will still be there. This can be a long & daunting Task but at least you dont lose the data. Hope it helps

You could probably get a Windows 7 laptop for half price that would have better hardware… Macs are pretty much a ripoff and cater mostly to those who don’t know much about computers but just like how a Mac looks
